The Brainstorm Brigade

We work on bacterial communication and microbial interactions at the Symbiosis School of Biological Sciences, Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune. Our work focuses on understanding quorum sensing and interspecies signaling mechanisms that regulate bacterial virulence, stress responses and antimicrobial resistance.

By integrating molecular microbiology in host–microbe interactions, our group aims to uncover different factors regulating the symptomatic transition of the bacteria from an asymptomatic state and novel strategies to combat infectious diseases and address global challenges such as antibiotic resistance.

Through our publications, funded projects, and interdisciplinary collaborations, we strive to advance our understanding of microbial communication and its applications in health and medicine.
